I’m not stopping my allotment if that’s what you’re thinking, on the contrary. This season is just getting interesting. I’ve finally got to the end of all the seedlings that, at the moment, need potting up. The greenhouse is getting very full now, and once the other seeds that I sowed a couple of weeks ago come through, I really don’t know where I’m going to put them. I’m sure I’ll find space somewhere. So that’s the Chop Suey Greens, Broccoli “Red Arrow Sprouting”, Kale “Black Tuscany” and Cabbage “All Year Round” all done. I’ve taken what I need, and put some by for my sister, and then some for the allotment plant sale. What a busy afternoon that was. Better clean my nails before we go out tonight, they’re a bit dirty. I took the kids swimming this morning, and we had the pool nearly to ourselves. George and I timed ourselves doing 25 meter lengths. He managed 30 seconds swimming front crawl, and I managed 23. I then had a race with him where he did front crawl and I did breast stroke. It was tough keeping pace with him, and we were neck and neck til the very end. I didn’t have a problem with my swimming costume like I did last time, as I have purchased a new one, which is very comfortable. George is getting very good at diving, not something I can do at all. Emily was happy just to pootle about swimming. We had a great time, it’s fun swimming with them now they’re confident in the water.
