Tuesday 21st October 2013 – The time had come for the back garden and the greenhouse.

With the front garden all sorted it was now time to get the back garden and the greenhouse all sorted for winter. It was another one of those days where it either rained all day, or you were lucky enough to miss them. Fortunately for me it was the latter. So after lunch I went in the back garden in an aim to just get that sorted, and leave the greenhouse for another day. However, to my ultimate surprise I managed to whizz through the back garden and get it sorted in no time. So with some time left before I had to start dinner I decided to just start tidying some of the greenhouse. But yet again this seemed much easier than I’d anticipated. So before I knew what I’d done, both the back garden and the greenhouse were all tidy!! I’m still a little shocked, but I’m not going to complain. I’ve sorted all the seed trays out, and put all the plant pots in containers in the shed, and all that’s in the greenhouse now are some vegetables and a few plants still growing, that need to be overwintered. At the beginning of next season before I start planting, I’ll give the greenhouse floor a sweep. It’s surprising how dirty it gets over the season. I didn’t want to do it yesterday as I’d have to take all the staging out, and  also I was a bit worried about how many large spiders I may find. I’m a bit of a coward when it comes to our eight legged arachnids.
