I can’t believe it’s the middle of June already, where did the last 2 weeks go? The weather here is still beautiful, and we’ve had very little rain, so I’m saving my bath and washing machine water and putting that on my plants, which they all love.
I have had to invest in some more water butts, and have attached them to each other. I have seven collecting and storing water for me, so I’m all set.
Here’s my latest update for you to see. My tomatoes have doubled in size since I last saw you, and I have baby melons.
Claire, it’s always exciting to start harvesting, isn’t it. I’m not quite there yet but It won’t be long before the cucumbers and tomatoes will be maturing their fruits faster than I can consume them. Your tomatoes look fantastic. Mine are starting to set flowers as well. Here in Nebraska we grow all our plants outside in the open garden. Blight doesn’t dominate the plants. There might be some toward the end of growing season but by then I’m ready for the harvesting season to be over any way.
Have a great day in your garden. You have done an amazing joy over the last two years.

Yes this is where all the hard work pays off. It’s so wonderful to pop in the garden before I start dinner and harvest some bits to use. My mangetout are in full flow at the moment, and the herbs are just amazing. Blight was a major problem on the allotment, but I’m hoping that in my garden, I should be ok. Have a great day and all the best.
