What a lot of planting out I did today. I planted out my Runner Beans, Lettuces, Squashes, Pumpkins and Kale. Plus I did some weeding!! Yes I know I must be “The Flash” to get all that done in 4 hours!! I then treated myself and went to the cinema to see “Room”. Amazing film!! If you’ve not already seen it, make time to. The whole cast are superb, especially the little boy. Now I’ve had a bath and am all clean. I had very dirty knees, and mud in places that I still can’t figure out how it got there.

It’s all growing really well which is brilliant. Shame the weeds are growing as well.
Claire, wow, that was a busy day. I have planted 9 pumpkins and 7 watermelons. Something dug up two of the watermelons. It was the smallest ones and I think they were after the seeds and not the plants. I built fences to keep all wild critters out and now I’m down to field mice? Good gracious is there any end to this?
I finished up my rock hauling yesterday and should have enough rocks to build a few more raised beds. It’s going to be very hot the next few days so my major task is to keep the plants watered during the dry hot spell. Next week we are promised rain by the forecasters but I’m ready to water in case they missed the prediction.
