Sunday 5th July 2015 – The greenhouse at home is now sorted.

I spent the afternoon sorting all the plants in the greenhouse at home. It was a case of thinking, “Now that needs to go there, but I can’t do that until that’s done, but that needs to be moved first.” It was like a really complicated puzzle, but I finally figured it out. All the plants that are in the greenhouse at home are in their final positions and pots so all they need to do now is to grow. I’ve got a few more plants to go in the greenhouse on the allotment, but I’ll move those down on Tuesday afternoon as I’m working all day Monday and Tuesday morning. It’s a good feeling when it’s nearly all done. So here are some pictures of what I have and where they are in my greenhouse at home.

Tomatoes are on the bottom, and on the top are Okra and Cucamelons.

All the Tomatoes in the greenhouse are what I’d class as “special ones”, so hopefully I’ll get a good variety of flavours and colours soon. The Cucamelons will hopefully trail across the top and down the side and then I can harvest them really easily. The Okra are growing very well so far. I hope they continue to do well. but I’ll keep you posted. Then the shelving units at the back.

Again Tomatoes on the bottom and Cucamelons on the top.

Again Tomatoes on the bottom and some Melons and Cucamelons on the top.

The new staging has made so much more room in my greenhouse but also given me more growing space, I know that sounds odd, but it’s true. and finally the right hand side of the greenhouse.

In the far corner are Aubergines, Sweet Peppers and Cucumbers. And then Tomatoes and Okra.

The Sweet Peppers are growing really well and so are the Aubergines. The Spanish Cucumbers are also quite happy and are climbing up the frame work of the staging. I am also please to announce that I have a little baby okra. It’s very tiny, but I have one. This is a first for me. I’ve never been able to grow one before, so I’m really happy. I’ll keep you posted on its progress, but rest assured you’ll find out when I harvest it. I also planted out various herbs, my Electric Daisies and potted up my Tomatillos, which I’ll move down to the allotment greenhouse this week. Phew, what a busy 3 hours this afternoon, I may have to sit down with a beer now and have a rest.
