I’ve got a lot to put in, so I might as well get started on them now… I started putting in my potatoes today! I managed half of the Apache variety, I’ll do the other half tomorrow. I also sowed Salsify and Snap Peas, which are new, so there will be a couple of films to follow. It’s great when your parents are over as when you’re making your flask of tea to take down the allotment, your mum gives you a hot cross bun, just incase you get hungry.

I’m a new follower of your blogs and enjoying reading them. My allotment in Hastings is far too wet to plant anything much right now so I’m having to sit on my hands.
My parents are going back to Spain this weekend, and I won’t see them til we go out in the summer, so I don’t think she’ll have time to pop to Hastings, sorry.
Don’t sit too hard on your hands, when the weather warms up you’ll need them.

I think they’re far enough down in the soil, to not be affected by any slight frost, well I hope so anyway.

I expect it’s lovely and warm where you are. Can’t be much worse than it is here, only 7 degrees today, it should be nearly double that. Wish it would warm up soon as I need sun.
It’s too bloomin’ cold up here in Manchester to make it worth planting my spuds out yet. I’ve got Charlotte, Congo and Desiree chitting up nicely though.
I know, I’ve been watching the weather as my grand parents live in St Helens. You’re due snow tonight/tomorrow. Hope it’s not too bad. As long as the spuds are chitting well, that’s all that matters. I’ve planted Desiree before, they did really well.
