Just a quick note to say “Thank you to everyone for their kind wishes to George”. Not wanting to go into too much detail, but he was sick several times during the day, not even able to keep liquid down. I took him to the doctors in the afternoon, and she spent at least 20 minutes checking him over. She was very concerned about him as he had no energy and kept falling asleep, she then phoned A & E. I had to take him there straight away. My wonderful friend Sally came to collect us from the doctors and took us straight to the hospital. What an absolute star she is, at true friend. He was seen almost immediately and admitted over night. He was attached to a drip whilst he slept and I could stay with him. By morning he was much improved and could eat some breakfast. He was discharged at 10am, but they don’t know what caused him to be sick, just that he’s better now.
Thank you everyone for all the wishes you’ve sent. George really appreciates it. He’s never ill, so it was a little funny to see him asleep where ever he sat down, but very worrying at the same time.

Ohhh my comment has gone, Pah! I’ll start again 🙂
Ohhh poor George and poor YOU!! it’s horrid when our babies are ill and were not able to help them. Good old mother’s intuition kicked in with you though, glad he’s on the mend. Big hugs all round for you all. X
It’s a week that I don’t ever want to repeat again!
O.K. then! So, in Greece often say, if the end is good, all are good. Good night to you and your family.
Irene.
Good morning Claire. I hope, George is O.K., today! Earlier this morning, I sowed some seeds of Gerbera gigante doppia in mix. The other name is African Daisy. Do you know this flower? I have seen it, into flowers bouquets. The flower has beautiful, white, orange, red, terracotta colours. I am going to sow calendula, for the flower itself, and for its cosmetic capacities.
Irene.
Hi Irene,
George is much better thank you. He’s back to his normal self just about. He still gets very tired, but is eating his normal huge amount.
African Daisies are lovely, I don’t think I’ve ever grown them before, but I’ve sown calendula. I hope they make you smile when they’re in full bloom.
All the best,
Claire
