Got home yesterday from a very exhausting day, to find that my seeds had arrived from Victoriana Nursery Gardens. I made myself a cup of tea, and sat down and went through all that was in the envelope. I was just like Christmas, but none of the mess.

    • I know, I get so excited about the little things.

        Claire,
Jim and I live accross the pond. We have been avid fans of yours for the past year. We created 2 scarecrows for our gardens with your bubblewrap filling. We live along a frequently travelled pathway. Ellie and Nellie…the scarecrows… attracted many followers. When we finally took them down we hung a sign saying they were off on vacation and would be back in the spring. If you want I can send you a picture of them. Thankyou for all your helpful gardening tips.
        Yours in gardening spirit….Julie

      • Hi there,
Some people don’t understand, but you have to name your scarecrows. It’s something that has to be done. I’d love to see a photo of them, so when they’re back from their holiday if they don’t mind posing so you can take a photo I’d really appreciate it.
I hope they had a great time.
        Claire

I love to come home to new seeds. I bought quite a few packets from Lidl’s today. Some at only 29p a packet or two for 50p.

Well I have a few packets so far and I am itching to get them sown. I got my first seed catalogue yesterday through the post and got so excited… And this weekend we are visiting Ryton Organic Gardens for Potato Day…. Oh what fun…..

    • I love this time of year, when we start planning what we’re going to grow. Only gardeners get excited about seed catalogue and potato catalogues. Other people just don’t understand. Have fun!

Hi Claire! I am Irene from Greece, Pireaus. I am a new follower to your blog, and an urban gardener to, but on my terrace. Thank you for the e-mail. This morning I bought some packets with new seeds from Athens center. I am going to start a new seedbed, inside the house. We have wormer climate than yours, but these days the weather is cold, and next week is going to be worst. I like your videos very much, and your advices are useful.

    • I hope that your seeds are growing well. We’ve had it very cold lately in the UK, and so has Greece. Not something that you’re used to I wouldn’t have a thought. It seems to have warmed up a bit now, but we’ll just have to see if it turns cold again. We’re still in winter, so anything could happen.
