Just come in from tidying the garden. It’s all lovely and clear now. I’ve got a few old terracotta pots that need to got to the tip as the cold winter finished them off, so hopefully that’ll be a job for the weekend. You know how things are when you’re potting bits on and out, that you just pop pots and trays anywhere. I’ve also picked the rest of the Apples off my little tree. It produced a huge amount of fruit this year the poor little branches where touching the ground. I also picked my first 2 Okra, which I’m really chuffed about. I’m sure they’ll still be producing fruit when the kids go back to school, so I’ll make a little film.

Surprised you are taking pots too the tip and not breaking them up to use as drainage in the bottom of new pots. 😛

I just pulled up the rest of my onions and I was saddened to see that my one and only pumpkin has died! 😦

    • All my pots are full of plants and stones. I’m not looking at getting any new pots for the garden. I don’t know where I’d put them. If the garden was larger then I could store them somewhere for use later, but unfortunately that’s not possible as our garden is very tiny. That’s so sad about your Pumpkin, but hopefully another one will soon start to grow from another flower. My first one died, but then more appeared.

I AM IN PEACH HARVEST HERE AND IT IS A GOOD CROP FROM MY TREE THIS YEAR. I HAVE STARTED TO DEHYDRATE THEM FOR STORAGE.

    Greetings from NE Indiana,
I’ve just finished my black currant harvest here. I have 4 bushes and have had a bumper crop of berries this year. Made 2 huge batches of black currant jam for use throughout the year. Yum!

  4. Why don’t you use the pots as crocs (sp)

    • The pots I have are already full of soil, plants and various size stones. I’ll take them to the Tip and put them in the Hardcore section, so they can be recycled. It’s not called a “Tip”, but a “Recycling Centre”. They get very cross if you get it wrong.
