Some of my cucumber seedlings are ready to be pricked out and put into 3 inch pots. It’s very easy to do. Now they’re in larger pots, they’ll have more space to spread their roots.

Claire, as always a very informative video on how to pot on seedling plants. I will be starting my cucumbers, squash, and pumpkins in about another week. They germinate and grow really fast so by the end of May they will be ready to plant outside. I could plant the seeds directly in the ground but I’ve found that growing the plants to good size first keeps the field mice from digging out and eating the seeds. They seem to leave a good sturdy plant alone.
Have a great potting up day in the green house.
