Love the blog have you thought about no dig for you new garden after you get rid of the weeds ?
I’m planning on raised beds, and will put some flattened cardboard boxes at the base of each bed before filling them with a mixture of wood chips, manure and soil. Hopefully they’ll be fairly easy to maintain. Fingers crossed.
Claire, wow, you do have your challenges ahead of you, don’t you. One good thing though, at your new place, the garden is ever so much closer than the allotment was. Terra Nova Gardens is about a 20 minute drive from my house so unless I have at least a three hour block of time, it’s hardly worth going over and trying to get something done. I do have four raised beds to play with just outside my back door when I have an hour of free time.
Have a great day planning and clearing.
I like a challenge, it makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something during the day when I sit down at the end of the day in my pj’s. I’m loving the fact that I can just pop out into the garden for as long as I like, and not have to load up the car and make sure I’ve got enough water and tools with me.
