All coated up.

I’ve just come in from putting on the second coat of wood preserver on my new chicken coop. I was hoping to do it this morning, but it took all morning for the frost to go from the chicken coop. We woke up this morning to a very hard frost and the temperature at about -2!! I hope it’s not like that tomorrow morning as I have to leave the house at 7am!! Well it is winter after all. I’d better get my thermal mittens out just incase. At least we don’t have snow so I shouldn’t complain that much.

Don’t complain about the cold too much. I believe it’s good for breaking up the soil 🙂 Just remember to keep your chickens warm when they arrive. As they may not have many feathers if they are rescued. (Time to start knitting nice warm jumpers for them, maybe? 🙂
