Tuesday 18th March 2014 – Let’s dig away.

Another wonderful morning on the allotment, and this time I managed to sort out 2 beds, and cover them with manure. My lovely friend Clair got me a trailer load last year, and it’s been sitting waiting to be spread. When I run out, she’ll get me another load. She’s fabulous!! I also harvested some Sprouting Broccoli, which seems to have taken off and is doing really well, as well as a Red Cabbage, several Salsify and whilst I was digging I found some rogue Potatoes. So that’s dinner sorted for the next few days. The soil is drying out nicely so hopefully I can get as much turned over and ready before it starts to rain again.

Yes! I found your blog again (shouldn’t do searches on my phone so much), its so brilliant to see what’s going on on the other side of the world. There you are gathering rogue potatoes and I’ve just planted mine 😉
