There I was digging away this morning, when on came the “Piggies” song came on my ipod. Not sure if you know it, but it starts with these lyrics:
Have you seen the little piggies
Crawling in the dirt
And for all the little piggies
Life is getting worse
Always having dirt to play around in.
I just thought that summed up me on the allotment perfectly. And it helped me dig a rather stubborn bed this morning.

“How about mud mud glorious mud” feeling really good today because iv been out in the garden all day…it was beautiful in the sun apart from the gust of wind blowing my potps and seed packets around the garden, hubby was home so i had him runing around the garden chasing after it all….oh well he it done him good runing around in the fresh air, lol well iv had a really productive day…took a car boot full to tip from the garden, hubby cut are grass then a friends elderly mums grass, then we planted loads more veg and salad, we planted red and white onions, freanch beans, sugar snap peas, mangtout, swiss chard, red and white spring onions, spinach, land cress, mixed salad, oriental mustard leafs, courgettes, cucumbers, asparagus peas, and more tomatoes…i don’t know what they are because it dosen’t say…but i got them free from dolmio last year so it should be interesting to see how they turn out, i make a lot of spicy chutney to freeze witch is lovely with lamb and pork chops! Hope its nice tomorrow might takw a trip to garden centre to see if theres some thing new for me try !! 🙂
Oh that’s a good one. It’s lovely when you can spend the entire day in the garden, makes you feel all fresh. Would have loved to have seen your hubby rushing around the garden chasing the seed packets. They do come in handy don’t they. Wow, you did plant loads, they all sound fantastic, especially those Dolmio seeds. Keep me updated on what they turn out to be. Enjoy your trip to the garden centre and I hope you find loads more interesting seeds and plants. It’s a bit drizzly today, so I may leave going to the allotment til this afternoon.
