Watched a film the other evening called “The Garden”. It’s a documentary about a community garden in LA. I found it fascinating, I got very cross with some of the people in the film, furious with others and stared in wonderment at everything these people had grown and went through. If you’ve not seen it, borrow it from you DVD place. It’s only 75 minutes, but worth every minute. It put our little disagreement with out local Council into perspective.

Thank you for this posting. When I saw it here I thought “what a great use of a blog” We love to garden and you have offered some tips that have been very helpful to me ( put a stake in the ground where you plant the squash.. so you know where to water .. was my favorite “DUH” moment) but to educate us also on the political issues around people eating the food that they have grown has a giant impact.. one gardener at a time .. thanks again

    • Hi there,
Thank you for your kind words, sometimes a simple thing like putting a stick it never occurs to us. It took me a year to realise it myself. Every year I learn something new. Have a great year.
