I finally christened the newish car with a manure trip. We’ve had it since June last year, but this is the first time it’s stood side by side with a huge pile of poo! It took about an hour and a half, but I managed to get 24 bags of the lovely stuff in the boot of the car. Some of the bags were rather heavy, especially the multi purpose 120 litre bags. I rested every now and then to ease my back and have a drink of water and watched the traffic go by. One lorry driver glanced over and gave me a rather puzzled look. Maybe it was the pink wellies or the fact that I was perched on the end of the boot of the car drinking water I’ll never know. I was tempted to wave, but didn’t want him to crash. Anyway, I loaded up and took it all to the allotment. The car felt very low on the journey. I dumped the bags on my plot and then came home for some well earned lunch. I’ll spread on Monday. I don’t think the car smells, but I’ll find out tomorrow when I get in it.

Was catching up on your blog..glad u put out some new vids..love to watch them..saw the one on popcorn just now..for some reason it kept starting and stopping on me but I got to see most of it….I wish u had a truck of your very own, wouldnt that be lovely? Every farmer needs a truck to haul poo and other goodies in…do they cost very much where u are? Even an old one would do..I kind of need one myself..gonna keep an eye out for one. You keep up the good blogging.. Wishing u well…((Hugs)) Angie in AR.

    • Hi Angie,
Don’t know why the video was having trouble loading. Sorry about that. As for the pooh, a lady also called Clair (different spelling though) has a horse at a stables and on Sunday we’re going to fill up her trailer, (several times I expect) with pooh and dump it on my plot. I’m sure we’ll have fun. I’ll blog about it when I get home. If you want to hire a truck it costs about £80 for the day, which is quite a lot.
      All the very best,
      Claire
