Picked some purple radish today and had a couple for lunch. Wow they were hot!! But very tasty. Apparently we were supposed to have rain today. It’s 4.41pm and so far no sign of any. It’ll miss us again. More weeding and watering today. It’s looking good and I’m feeling happy now that most bits are in and the weeds are under control. This afternoon I potted up more tomatoes for growing at home, still more to pot up, hopefully I’ll get them all done this weekend.
Have a great gardening weekend, and get it all done on Saturday, as we’ll be watching the tennis on Sunday if Andy Murrey’s in the final. Fingers crossed.

Sounds like a successful day on the lot. Looking for the same for myself. Catching some FIFA football here.
I may watch the final, don’t even know when that is. I expect Mark’ll watch it, and I’ll pop in every now and then to see how they’re doing. I picked out Australia in the school sweep stake. Useless! Never mind it’s just a bit of fun.
Claire just saw your wonderful video about goosberrys and would love to grow some myself. I have a question though, did you start yours with seed or did you have to purchase the plants?, and also I see a lot of cape goosberry seeds for sale but they look different, they have a paper-like-husk, not like the once you are growing though.
The gooseberry bushes I bought two small plants. I think I got them about 8 years ago. I had them in the garden, but moved them to the allotment about 2 and a half years ago. Just go to a gaden centre and they should have them. May be the wrong time of year at the moment, try late winter/early spring. Cape gooseberries fruit looks orange, quite small and with a light brown paper husk round them. You peel away the paper and eat. When they’re ready, I’ll show them.
