Finally after months of waiting and thinking they’d decided to go somewhere else, my Coal Tits have come back and are nesting in my box again. I’m very excited. I’m trying to get some footage for you to see, but they seem to be very busy in the morning collecting bits for their nest, then in the afternoon (when I have the time to watch them) they decide to be out. I’ll catch them soon, hopefully tomorrow morning. I think there was another male interested in the box, because there was a Coal Tit dog fight going on. It was very exciting. Will keep you posted.

i love watching the nature in the garden. we have a lovely pond in ours and just this morning during the heavy rain i was watching two pigeons bathing and preening above the waterfall. i managed to film a short clip and when it is uploaded will post the link to share 🙂 what made me giggle is how one of them had its wing up in the air to get an underwing soak. guess birds like a good scrub just like the rest of us, ha
