One plot is complete, just the other to go! I’m over the half way mark, and it feels like I’m gaining. Plot 2 is at present weed free and all the grass is trimmed. When I go tomorrow I’m sure that some will have appeared and grown huge over night. I’ve now started weeding and strimming the grass on Plot 1. Also today I planted 24 Calabrese (Broccoli). They’re under netting so the birds don’t feast on them. I love my petrol strimmer as it makes grass cutting so easy. Having tried a cordless strimmer, the petrol one has so much more power, yes they are expensive, but worth every penny, especially if you’ve got a large garden or allotment.

hi claire. just a note to tell you how much i enjoy your videos and also a quick question-do sweet potatoes grow good in containers?? thanks and please keep the videos comming….. cathy(southern virginia, usa)

    • Hi Cathy,
I’m so glad that you find the videos useful. I’ve never had much luck with Sweet Potatoes, but they will grow well in a container, so long as it’s very large, and they have room to grow. I’ve heard that poor soil is best for them, and adding sand helps also. I’m giving them a rest this year, but will try again next year.
